US Citizens Issued 'Be Prepared' Middle East Warning as Donald Trump Threatens Iran

The United States has issued a warning to its citizens to prepare for a possible evacuation from the Middle East, following Donald Trump's latest threat to launch strikes against Iran. The State Department has released a fresh advisory covering 10 countries in the region, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Israel, Oman, Qatar, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Egypt.

The advisory urges Americans in the region to "exercise heightened vigilance" and "be prepared to depart should there be escalation," while also warning of potential "flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and travel disruptions," as reported by the Daily Express. The warning notes that the "Iranian regime is unpredictable, as evidenced by its recent decisions to attack areas in the region without warning or to expand attacks to areas not previously targeted, such as Egypt."

In a post on X, the alert states: "Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise caution and heightened vigilance and be prepared for flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and potential travel disruptions. Some airlines in the region have postponed resuming earlier flight schedules, while others have cancelled certain routes."

The advisory advises Americans in the region to "consider departing, or be prepared to depart should there be escalation." It also warns Americans outside the Middle East to "seriously reconsider travel to and through the region." Those who do travel to or from the region are advised to "monitor information about airport and airline operations," as US diplomatic facilities, including those outside the Middle East, have been targeted.

Additionally, the warning notes that "Iran and groups supportive of Iran may target other US interests overseas or at locations associated with the United States and Americans throughout the world, including US businesses and other institutions."

On Saturday, Major General Ali Abdollahi, head of Iran's wartime military command, stated: "The United States is moving at an accelerating pace to fan the flames of a full-scale regional war." He further warned: "It is hereby stated explicitly: Muslim countries must, with foresight, monitor America's crimes and reconsider their cooperation and alignment with the US. Otherwise, any country that makes itself a defensive shield for criminal, aggressor America will burn in the fire of war."
